When things get really busy at the office, it is good to know you can rely on your printer. Konica Minolta’s bizhub 40P with its small footprint yet high performance of 43 pages per minute provides its users with this sort of confidence. As a new top-of-range A4 printer, it combines monochrome productivity and high flexibility. Equipped with the high-performance Emperon controller and optional XPS support, it easily integrates into a wide variety of IT environments. As the bizhub 40P’s innovative technology comes with modest space requirements, it becomes the ideal choice for work groups and corporate office users.

 

Easy and smooth integration into almost any IT environment is a key feature of the new Konica Minolta bizhub 40P. This is made possible by the built-in Emperon system with a powerful 500 MHz processor, 128 MB standard memory and Gigabit Ethernet, features that ensure reliable and consistent printing performance. The Emperon technology is also responsible for the bizhub’s 40P compatibility with PostScript 3 and PCL 6. Combined with an optional hard disc kit native support for Microsoft Vista’s XML paper specification XPS is available. Furthermore, users will appreciate the printer’s easy installation and swift access to the bizhub’s various attractive features granted by DPWS (Device Profile for Web Services).

From invoices via monthly reports, order and packing lists to inventories, the bizhub 40P handles all office materials that generally arise, for example, in a logistics provider’s office, at a customer service provider or in a financial department. And it handles them fast. It outputs up to 43 monochrome pages in A4 format in just one minute.

When it comes to selecting the media needed for the print job in hand, users have a range of options at their disposal. Up to four paper cassettes provide a maximum paper supply of 1,800 pages and a different type of paper each. This includes stationery, transparencies, envelopes and even media with up to 216 gsm that can be fed from all paper trays. Even the optional duplexer can handle heavy stock. An offset stacker may be added to help users keeping things in order. Besides separating multiple prints or different print jobs it increases the output capacity by 500 sheets.

Regular bizhub users will recognise the convenient and straightforward operation of the printer as truly bizhub. A full graphics LCD panel provides a visual indication of the printer status. The bizhub 40P also offers job tracking which allows administrators to allocate print costs to individual users and thereby keep an eye on printing costs. In combination with an optional hard disc kit, secure printing and real-time monitoring of the printer’s status via PageScope Suite tools is also available.
