For high performance and outstanding colour quality in the production printing environment, Konica Minolta introduces the new IC-304 Plus print controller to support the bizhub PRO C5501 and the bizhub PRO C6501 series of digital colour production printing systems. The advanced external print controller enables operators not only to speed up their systems but also to considerably improve the excellence of their output. The IC-304 Plus’ list of benefits is rounded off by the wide range of in-line finishing capabilities that it offers in conjunction with the hardware.

 

Konica Minolta’s IC-304 Plus print controller, powered by CREO, is the enhanced version of the innovative and powerful IC-304. The IC-304 Plus is a reliable and flexible partner no matter how complex and versatile the environment. As it features open connectivity with current, industry-leading operating systems, different file formats as well as the latest Konica Minolta technologies, the IC-304 Plus is suitable for use by central reprographic departments (CRDs) and commercial printers (CP) in the most diverse operating conditions.

As advanced VDP comes with sophisticated requirements the IC-304 Plus is capable of keeping the production speed steady even if there are alternations in the printed document within one single print run.

Along with increasing productivity, the IC-304 Plus print controller provides advanced colour management. Its technology features superior default colour settings, easy colour calibration and the ability to make last-minute colour corrections easily, edit spot-colours and correct gradation without re-RIPing. The IC-304 Plus is the ideal choice for users who want advanced colour-management to produce offset-like print quality.

In terms of finishing, operators using the new IC-304 Plus in combination with the bizhub PRO C5501 and the bizhub PRO C6501 series gain access to all of the production printing systems’ comprehensive finishing capabilities. This includes full Perfect Binder support, enabling a completely automatic production of perfectly bound books. Tightly integrated with the bizhub PRO C5501 and the bizhub PRO C6501 series, the IC-304 Plus makes printing a simple, continuous operation from automated imposition to printing and finishing the final product.
